Green Construction: From Design to Clean Up

Instead of a half day seminar and half day tour, this year the Green Home Tour is hosting a variety of classes through the Virginia Tech YMCA prior to the April 25th tour. The first class, Green Construction: From Design to Clean Up, is 2 Monday evenings, February 16th and 23rd from 6:30-8:30pm. Ed Tuchler of Shelter Alternatives, Beth Lohman of DEQ, and Justin Boyle of Green Valley Builders will discuss what should you consider when planning to build a green home. They will look at everything from site and form to construction details and material usage, including minimizing waste and what to do with leftovers. Class sign up is here.
